Performance assessment for Orthopaedic surgery procedural planning. Instrument measures performance dimensions, including patient considerations, team coordination, and development of a pre-operative plan. Implementation may be by faculty or attending surgeons, or senior surgical residents/fellow with demonstrated expertise.
Assessments items are scored with a variety of scales, depending on the tasks and decision making attributes associated with the procedure. Scale indicators include: Not Done, Informed, Complete, Accurate, Inaccurate, Uninformed, Incomplete, Performed Independently, Required Assistance. The instrument also includes a weighted scale for measuring the case difficulty level.
